Drool

Dear Bee,

You are going to hate this when you are 12 and reading this. I will probably tell this story or one like it on your prom night, and wedding day.

I went upstairs a few minutes ago to see why you were crying. You didn't have a nap today so I know you were tired.

I check it out and you were laying on your side, whimpering. I roll you over and find that your pacifier wasn't in your mouth. I go to put it in your mouth and realize the WHOLE side of your face is covered in DROOL!!

I love it!

You were so tired that you didn't even wake up when I rolled you over. You just wanted your pacifier. I wore you out today!

It makes me smile that you drool. Just like me. I'm a drooler, but only when I'm really, really tired or sick.

Note: Don't go on a band trip when you are really, really tired and fall asleep on someone's lap. You WILL get made fun of.

In these past couple weeks, we have really seen you come out of your shell. We are starting to get to know Bee. It is really fun and sometimes shocking!!

Your dad taught you how to scream like a little girl. (Always fun in the middle of Wal-Mart.)
And he taught you how to growl like a tiger. And high-five, and pound-it and noggin. All in one week!

You are like a little sponge and say "Uut ohh" when you throw things.

You still like being wrapped in a 'burrito' to go to sleep. You sign 'more', 'food' (which is for food and drink). You sign 'all done' and you made up a sign...beating your head for when you want something. This cracks us up when you want a toy or food, you will keep hitting your head on the right side until you get what you want. It has to hurt. You don't do it lightly!!

Gosh I love you, my little Turkey! Thanks for coming to play with us!!

I heart you always,
your mom

Awww! Conner, you are so lucky to have a mom like yours! She is coming to live with me and cook and I am going to do her laundry. So keep your drooling to a minimum please!

Hey, about that laundry deal: I had everyone a basket and folded and stuck that laundry in their basket. I made them put it up or live out of it. It kept the clothes off the floor and you can slide a laundry basket behind the couch when company comes by.

I wrote a letter like that to Josh on his 1st b-day, and plan on doing it on every b-day. It is a great idea to do it more often. I will have to do that. Thanks for the idea.
