This is Bee sleeping at Maimom's house. He can't go to sleep with B (the blue thing) and Moose as his pillow. I heart this kid.

Where are we again?
I'm grateful that we have water and electricity. Our heater was too cold to work. Kinda ironic huh?
My smart husband found us a heater in our kitchen in the form of an open oven!!
The weather here is crazy. It is flashbacks of Alaska with -20 temps.
Forget running. The boys and I still have colds from Seattle, which wasn't helped by our heater quitting.

I'm grateful for lists
I'm grateful for lists. I would forget my shoes if I didn't have lists. Now I understand where my mom carried around her dayplanner, the "Brain." If it's not written down, it doesn't exist!!

I'm grateful for playpens....
I'm grateful for play pens. Glo bug looks like he's in jail but he's enjoying himself. In there, he can eat his sandwich without a dog or older brother to help, or them running passed him and not saying "Hi!" It's in the kitchen where most of the action of the house is so he's enterained. Plus it let's me do what I need to do!!

I'm grateful for creativity...
I made this for my Solid Bee Blocks. Natalie asked for triangles and that was it. So this is what I made. No pattern just a few pictures to go off of for ideas. I really enjoyed making this one.
I enjoy the freedom to do what we wanted. Thanks Natalie

I'm grateful for gift certificates
I'm grateful for gift certificates. I would have spent the money else where, probably on food or other things we need. But I had to spend the gift certificate on a hair and eyebrows. So this is what I got.
Chopped off about 6 inches, layered it and got bangs!!
I love it....just enough change.

I'm grateful for good smelling shampoo
Seems silly but when I get into the shower and smell my shampoo, it seems like everything will be okay for a few minutes.

I'm grateful for not drinking...
I had a tough night last night. One of those nights that you question your being and stuff.
One of those that if I wasn't LDS, I probably would have drowned my sorrows in the bottle! He he
Then I would have had a hangover today and wouldn't have realized what I have.
So I'm grateful that I don't have alcohol in my house.

I'm grateful for patience
I'm grateful for the patiences of people around me.
My kids weren't quiet today in church. Neither was my hubby with his stuffed up nose.
I'm thankful that no one turned around and yelled at us.
I hope next week is better.

I'm grateful for learning new things...
I'm grateful for learning new things about my best friends.
I have learned that Aimee's favorite candy is black licroice.
I learned that Lindsy doesn't like dark chocolate.
I learned that Erin is so caring and loves an adventure.
Just so many things that I love about the important girls in my life.
I heart you girls

Journal Jar

Have you been affected by a war somewhere, somehow, sometime?
I have been affected by war, in some huge ways.
The first was watching Desert Storm on the TV. I remember watching the TV in the den with my family and my parents both just in shock that it was on TV. I don't know any of the politics behind it cuz I was so little. I just remember my parent's reactions.
They were both in Air Force. That is actually where they met.
The second time I was affect by war was 9/11. I thought that the world would awesome. I was a senior in high school. I had a steady boyfriend of 2.5 years. We had talked of getting married after high school and going to college together.
9/11 happened and my boyfriend changed. He was mad. He wanted to buy a gun. He wanted to hurt people that didn't look like him. He wanted to join the Army just to have permission to kill.
Then the recruiters showed up at the high school in flocks. He talked to them. They couldn't take him because of some "medical issues." He got even more mad.
Anyway we broke up for a few more reasons but that was a huge one.
Third reason I'm affected by a war is I'm married to a military man. One that puts the bombs on the planes. One that is going to be very much needed if drama happens over here in the US again.
My hubby was in Fairbanks for almost 3 weeks. He came home on a Tuesday night at 8pm, to tell us that he was leaving the next morning at 6am. If it had been any other day, Bee would have been in bed. He would not have seen him. It just so happens that I was quilting and last track of time so Bee was awake.
From that I learned a lot. I had never had that happen as a military wife before. Usually if they are going to leave, it takes a lot of planning and organizing so we have notice. Not this time. Yes, it was only 500 miles away. And Bee and I did go visit BUT it could have been Iraq. Or anywhere for that matter.
It made me grateful for the time I do spend with Chris. And for family time. Grateful that my hubby is brave enough to go fight the bad guys so that we can be safe here. So that I can be a mom. And so my friends and family can do what they do. He doesn't get paid well. He works long hours but I'm so grateful that he is mine.
So there. That made me all patriot today!!
PS. Sorry about yesterdays picture.....it said, "Don't pray the Book of Mormon, it's how they get you." on a Baptist church sign. LOL I thought it was sooo funny!

Day 2-7

I'm feeling all lovey dovey right now towards my little man. This is a picture of him this time last year. I remember taking this picture.
I didn't think he was going to sit there very long so I didn't bother getting the camera. Then after about 5 minutes, I finally went and grabbed it. I don't remember how long he sat there but it was quite awhile for a little guy. Especially since he had just figured out he could scoot around the house.
Anyway our little man had a 103 temperature tonight. some tyenol and a bath, and we are good now. I'm just so grateful for so many things. Sick babies put these in to a different view.
Let me just make a quick list:
1. Chris home (this time last year he was in Florida for work)
2. Modern medicine to help bring down temps.
3. heat in our house with hot water
4. A husband that would rather stay home with his family than party like other 23 year olds.
5. A temple so close to be able to visit whenever we feel like it
6. Grateful to be able to have Bee in our family. He is so wonderful
Oh there's so much more but you get the drift.
