Ducks

Chris finally got his ducks back! He was like a kid in the candy store when we picked them up! They are very pretty. The taxidermy guy even won a prize with the green one.

Geese purple

This one is for Ann. She's the leader of our "Geese in a ring" swap. She wanted berry colors. I think it turned out pretty cute.
These blocks take about an hour to 1.5 hours to make, total. So when they are done, it's a huge sigh of relief!

PS no I don't, can't, sit down and make one block all at once. Well maybe I could if I threw a few bottles and snacks in a closet and turned the radio up to cover the yelling! But I am pretty sure that's illegal. Plus I like my interruptions....most of the time.

Chair

This is the chair Marie bought us for $5 at a garage sale. I made the cushion to put on it for now. A better one is in the works!
This was my first attempt at a pillow.
The chair sits in Dragonfly's room for the late night feedings. It's well used!!

Ricks quilt

This quilt is for Rick. He's serving our country this year, overseas. I cut out this fabric back in January in hopes to finish it before he left in feb. (then you remember I went home to Seattle and then got knocked up. Not good for making quilts, or making anything but a baby!)

So this quilt got put in a drawer. Well he is home on leave for like 5seconds so I had to hurry and finish this bad boy up!
I wasn't planning on the cowboys being the blue on the flag side. I had some star fabric that was perfect but it grew legs and walked. I have no idea where but it did.
The back was suppose to have more detailed star with white and blue big star but I used the blue for the flag so it had some changes but I think it worked well.
I asked lindsy, his wife, to have her and their kids write a saying and trace their hands so I could quilt it into the quilt. Well the handprints didn't look good so they got cut but the sayings are hidden in the quilting.

I hope he enjoys it. He definitely deserves it..

Glo bug at park

After a few trips to abq and lots of carseat time logged in for the family, we had a park day Thursday. Dragonfly wasn't having the wind so he chilled in the truck with me, while glo bug and Bee played and got dirty and all things boy. There were other kids too which was really nice. Glo bug didn't wonder far from the edge where the truck was and kept an eye on me to make sure I wasn't going anywhere. Bee on the other hand, was up and down and in and out of everything in the first 2 mintues. note: no picture of Bee because of said squirrel movements!

Rug mug swap...dena

I made this for Dena. She lives in ABQ so we quick hurried and made our mini quilts for each other so we could trade in person when we went up for Glo bug's follow up.
It was so fun meeting her! She's the second Internet friend I've met. (we know and love Erin!) Dena showed me ( and the boys) to hancocks and the quilt bug!!! I'm so going back to both. We only had a little time but it was like we were long lost friends, not a dull minute!
We are so getting together again, on our next trip up to ABQ! Or maybe I'll talk her into coming to the white sands!

Geese in a ring

These are blocks for a little group that I'm in... Geese in a ring. I have to make 7 blocks using white fabric and the colors they chose. I asked for any colors so it will be exciting to see what I get in the mail!

Glo bug surgery pics

Glo Bug's eye the day after surgery
Waiting for the doctors to come get him for surgery
Knocking on the glass door for the FUN nurse to come back.

Glo Bug has had 3 eye surgeries this year. His left eye wasn't tracking with the right so the doctor was trying to move the left to match the right, on the first two surgeries. So this 3rd one, she decided to move the right eye to match the left, the one with a missing brow bone. This surgery seemed to make his eyes line up a bunch more often. It's not perfect but at least he can see straight ahead of him now. They will probably have to do another eye surgery after they fix his eyebrow, next year. But he's great for now!

Motorcycle diapers for Dragonfly

We got this motorcycle made of diapers and blankets plus a bottle as the gas tank, and socks for the handle bars! Sooo stinking cute.
Chris' shop at work made this for us. Such a great idea!

First bath

Dragonfly's first bath...in the kitchen sink!

Dragonfly 2 month stats

Dragonfly had his 2 month appt 11/29. He actually is suppose to be 2 weeks old. So they adjust his age by 6 weeks to allow for his growing time.

Height 19.5 inches (76% percentile for 1 month old)
Weight 9 lbs, 9oz (28%)
Head 15.5 inches (54%)

I can't believe that he has gained 4 lbs since we brought him home from the hospital! He is growing like a weed!!!
Anyone know a trick to stop this? I dont want him big yet!
