I'm grateful for learning new things about my best friends.
I have learned that Aimee's favorite candy is black licroice.
I learned that Lindsy doesn't like dark chocolate.
I learned that Erin is so caring and loves an adventure.
Just so many things that I love about the important girls in my life.
I heart you girls

Texting
Hi! My name is Krista and I'm addicted to texting. (and Farmtown but that's another day.)
Ever since I was in high school, I've been a texter. I used to text answers in class. I used to text while driving. I even texted on dates.
I LOVE texting!!!
The convince of it is AWESOME!
For example, someone...let's say Amanda texts me at 8 in the morning. I don't have to rush to it, to see what she wants. I can get up at 10am and reply back. There's no guilt in taking two hours to respond.
Obviously if you are in a texting convo...it's not nice to just stop. You have to have a reason...battery died, kid bleeding, etc.
Even though I'm a 'grown up' now...I still text my heart out. The first time I had a texing convo with Amanda, I was hiking up a mountain. Seriously. (Remember Red Shirt lake?? yeah she's the reason my phone got wet and now the 7 key has attitude.)
So my relationship with texting has even GROWN...since I've gotten the iPhone. See here's the deal. When you text on an iPhone, it makes little convo bubbles so you can see what you wrote. It keeps it all on one page. None of the going back to see what I texted before.
Chris is famous for his one word replies to my texts. (He doesn't understand my love affair of texting.) I almost ALWAYS have to go to my outbox and see what I wrote. NOT ANYMORE!!!
I love that I have it all on one screen!
My friends that I text are all different types of texters but I heart you all.
Amanda is like me, in it for the long haul. We talk all stinking day long.
Taron-she's my night owl...or was until now when she is 2 hours ahead...lame!
Krystle- she's a hairdresser with a different schedule everyday so texting is really the only way we talk.
Lindsy- she has 3 kids and a hubby that is deployed. She texts me when she is lonely or stressed or I need her advice. She's a super runner too!
Nicci- she keeps me update on her single world...LOVE IT!
There are more of you but I gotta go post stuff on craigslist of the hubs.
Do you guys text?? Are you addicted like me?

Sleeping habits
Ever since I got married, I have had to sleep with the TV on. My hubby is a really light sleeper so the TV tunes out any different noises.
When we were first married, we would fall asleep in each other's arms, watching Disney movies.
AAAHHHH so cute! (GAG!!!)
Moving on, after awhile we would fall asleep any way but still watching Disney movies, mostly Finding Nemo. (A personal fave.)
Then it moved on to different DVD's that slow made it up to our room. I have veto'd most of these DVD's on account that they keep playing music after the movie is done. No good.
Everybody Loves Raymond has quotes from the DVD that play over and over and over again.
All Family Guy's have that stupid song at the end.
The list goes on.
EXCEPT Friends.

FRIENDS plays nicely with my sleeping zzz's. You watch the 2.5 hours of funny, good wholesome show and then it's quiet!!!! The screen is still up BUT no sound!
LOVE IT!!!
So we have all but 2 of the seasons of FRIENDS.
Thank you to my old room mate, Heather, for giving us our first season of FRIENDS! It has saved our marriage!
Do you guys have any weird sleeping habits like my hubby??
PS Only one person mentioned anything on my last post about the bear. I thought for sure you guys would have said something??

New leaves...
As I was sitting, talking to a great friend last night, I realized that I have hurt people's feelings without even realizing it.
In my expressions of my readiness to leave Alaska, I have said things like, "I'm ready for a new adventure," or "I'm sooooo ready to leave."
While those statements are true, there is a hidden meaning in all of them.
I'm going to miss this place. More than just this place, these people.
I have wonderful, fanastic friends here that I'm sure I will be friends with forever.
No joke, FOREVER!!
I am sorry if I have hurt anyone's feelings with these statements. Just know that there is more to them than I lead on.
I do love you!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another thing that needs to be written on here today is....
it's snowing!!!
As much as I don't like this weather, I'm actually enjoying this snowfall.
Anchorage is now pretty again.
Break up isn't pretty around here. A little snowfall just covers all that right up!
I'll try and get some pictures today.
----------------------------------------------------------------
We have a grumpy volcano around these parts.
Her name is Mt Redoubt. She has thrown up at us over 6 times in the past few days.
The ashfall has missed Anchorage so far. She is still grumpy and spitting things up.
Alaska Airlines canceled a few of there first flights on Monday and delayed a few more. This makes for grumpy people.
Bee and I were on Continential airlines. Our flight was plum (is that right?) full...not one empty seat. The flight attendents were not their pleasant selves. The food tasted like it had been heated up a few times. AND people on the flight were just anxious to get in the air.
Our flight was the first flight out of Seattle to Anchorage since the volcano blew.
We were excited to get home.
Bee did really well on the flight there and on the way home. We sat by some great people so that made things a lot easier! I had enough snacks and toys to entertain an army, or Bee!! I don't think I wanna do it again anytime soon but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
So anyway Mt Redoubt is blowing her lid but it hasn't affected us yet.
We have to replace our air fliters in our cars but that's about it.
