Ompas quilt

I don't believe I ever posted pictures of the quilt I made my dad a few years ago.

I quilted all the words that I thought described him in it.

Tried my hand at machine binding... I have lots to work on.

Chris brought this quilt for me to the hospital and I'm soooo grateful!! It was really nice to have the quilt I made especially for this time. I put it on my hospital bed every day we stayed there before I had Dragonfly and the 2 days after I had him. Chris slept on the bed, under the windows, which were really drafty so I would put the brown side out and put it over him. He didn't want the 'girly' quilt on his bed! LOL 

The nurses would come in to check on me and would ask about the quilt. It was a good conversation starter. I was/am really proud of it. It will get even better when I can wash it more. It's still a little too firm for my liking.

Little quilting

This is a sneak peek of my quilt. I wrote my name and stippled crazy small in between to make the letters really stand out.

Erins quilt

This is erin's scrappy quilt. She made each if these blocks while watching sex in the city, movie. Pretty awesome huh?

Dads quilt

This is a sneek peek of Dad's quilt that I made him for Christmas. I will put up more pictures after he gets it.

There is a new group in flickr (where I spend most of my computer time these days), where you make a little quilt and then we swap them!!
