When Bee started school, he received a few more responsiblitites, including his own laundry folding and hanging. I did it the first time and now it's his job. He's very good.

Sick

We all got sick around Dragon's birthday. This was how we all felt for a few days. We are better now but you forget how much sickness can kick your trash!! :)

Knitting

I don't think I ever posted pictures of the blanket I knitted Chris in tech school back in 2005. It was his Christmas gift. I bought one sken of yarn a paycheck. I started tight and got better and than looser and looser until I relaized what I did and got tighter again..... hmmmm!!

Chris won't let me take it out and redo it. He says he loves it. LOL I think he has to but it's still endearing. :)

Ompas quilt

I don't believe I ever posted pictures of the quilt I made my dad a few years ago.

I quilted all the words that I thought described him in it.

Tried my hand at machine binding... I have lots to work on.

Cleaning the garage

I decided to clean the garage while Chris and his dad went hunting this year. The first day, this happened. I was taking stuff out of the garage and Bee comes out to say, "Mom, it's gonna rain. You better hurry."  Awesome. I put all the things back in the garage and worked on a smaller scale of cleaning.

Great wife

This is the cleaned job pictures...

Since this picture we have played a bunch of games on the pool table, that bed is gone and there's no "parking spots' with tape on the ground for bikes and the motorcycle.

Ompas

The Ranger's house at Ompa's house. And Ompa's garage. It's huge.

We were waiting at the light on 88th in Marysville. Bee says, "MOMMY!! That's where zombies live!!"    Thank you, Chris, for that.

In the airport on the way home. We didn't check any bags. Each boy had a backpack and I had my purse and a backpack. It worked out fabulous!

Present

My dear friend, Ann, sent me this WONDERFUL bundle of dots through my favorite fabric store, Westwood Acres on Etsy. Seriously I cried. It's soooo beautiful in person. I can't wait to make something with it. It just has to be the right pattern and I haven't found that yet!

Thank you Ann, you made my month!!

Taryns quilt

I quilted my friend's quilt for her. She wanted pebbles. I forgot how much time it takes. One of those squares was an average of 20 minutes. But it seriously turned out amazing. I just LOVE it!!

I made the back too. I tried to go with the design from the back.

This quilt broke my Sapphire belt. And seized Lisa's machine. I had a hard time findinga repalcement belt that I didn't have to bring into the shop to get fixed. Finally in California a shop was willing to send me just the belt. With Lisa's machine, we just oiled it and it was good as gold. Chris and I are now amazingly awesome at taking apart sewing machines!! Chris stayed up all night on a Friday to fix a machine. That's true love. I'm so grateful to have him around.

Babysat

We had a death in our ward of a younger family's dad. It was really awful. He was on his motorcycle and hit a HUGE elk on the highway, on the way to base. It hit home because it could have been Chris. Or any other of a number of our friends. Just so sad.

Because it was a young family, a lot of my friends wanted to go to the funeral. I don't do funerals so I volunteered to babysit. Well I only watched one family but it was an adventure!! 8 kids, including a neighbor kid, under the ages of 6.

We had a lot of fun and I have a new respect for daycare providers! :)

Stab wound

I may or may not have gotten stabbed while making dinner on Dragonfly's birthday.

I was cutting up carrots for dinner and put the knife down on the counter. Globug grabbed it but I told him to put it back. No drama.
Of course Dragonfly had to do it too because Globug did. I went to grab it from him and he pointed it at me because he knew he wasn't suppose to have it and I got stabbed. To the bone. It doesn't look so bad but it bled quite a bit. But with my blood stuff, that is to be expected.

Anyway a butterfly bandaid and we were good to go. Thanks to Betsy for coming over and helping me with the bandaid!!

Thanksgiving

I made these fruit bowls for everyone at the dinner at the Spott's house. Thanks Pinterest.

During dinner, Dragon started having an reaction to amoxicillin.

The Spott's mancave....2 couches and 2 recliners. They have a pool table and fooz ball behind this.

Hexies

My templates....best hexie invention ever!

Wendi made me a hexie pouch....I take it everywhere so I can sneak a couple stitches in.

This is a quilt my mom has at her house.

I made the top orange/aqua one, the blue/yellow below it, the green/brown next to that one, the pink/blue next to that, the grey/pink one under that, the aqua/yellow one on the outside, and the dark yellow/aqua one on the bottom.

This is the quilt I'm helping with. It's Wendi's Grandmother's flower garden. I just LOVE that yellow.
