Day 10

These are pictures of my new projects.

I bought these fabrics from Jane! Aren't they just wonderful?! I love all of them. I pulled them out of the package and pet them! :) I'm kidding, ....kinda.

This is the green I'm going to put with it, I like. I have to go buy more but I think I like the green. Thoughts?? This is for the Black and White Challenge.
This is fabric that I bought with my gift certificate to Quilt Tree from Shawn. They guy knows how to make brownie points. Anyway this is going to be a long cabin. I haven't decided if I'm going to give this one away or keep it. Oh the decisions!

Here is my Calendar Quilt Challenge quilt. One of the ladies had a GREAT idea about having putting fabrics together that her son likes. I thought that Bee can pull stripes of fabric out...he might not understand but he might later in the year. So I count about 370 strips and put them in a bucket and have Bee pull one out every day. Sew it on and this is what we have so far!

I bought this fabric on a sale at the Seams like Home Quilt store. It was $5 for a fat quarter. I paid $1. Be jealous, Nanette. (I don't know if the names mean anything to you but there's a picture for ya.) When I use it, I'll let you know!!

I love quilts. I got one for Christmas from my MIL. I made my younger dd a little one for her bed. Nothing fancy, like yours, your very talented. I am still working on my older dd's. I need to add some squares to it and I am finding it hard to find a backing for it. A friend suggested I use a sheet. Any suggestions?

Shucks, I quilted before I started collecting kids. I ache to go back to it someday. In the meantime scrapbooking kind of fits the bill (or I pretend it does). Paper doesn't feel or smell nearly as good as fabric.

This makes me want a new sewing machine. And it's okay to pet your fabric, we all do it. I am a fabric junkie. I wish I had a room in my house just for quilting crap. I haven't quilted in five years, that's what three kids does to you.

I love the black and white fabric! It makes me want to learn to sew. I have a sewing machine sitting in storage, maybe I should get it out and dust it off, and actually do something with it!

I would love to take you shopping, but I think Ohio would be a little far to travel :-)

I see we are in similar challenges, the Calendar 2009 quilt and the black and white one. I'm using yellow as a third color, but haven't started it yet.
Good luck with all your challenges!

Love the black and white with green for the challenge. Awe the fabric you have is awesome. I love to sew and don't make enough time to do so. But today as I made my to do list. I have on it finish some pj's for my little guy. Seeing all your wonder fabric makes me wish I could do it right now. But gotta wake kiddos for school and get ready for work.

Have a great day.
