What I did today

Mychel and I got together and made these cute little blocks. They were pretty fun to make. I still have to sew them together. Any thoughts how? 2x3 or 3x3...???

I love Mychel-stay-at-home days!

Crash-this is what I was thinking. See how all the different materials go together? OR we could do this. Thougts, concerns, suggestions?

Kritta - as the quilt expert I have to ask a question (coming from the lame NON-quilt-expert) If my fabric swatch happens to be a chunk of a VERY old quilt (if I can find a large enough and decent enough intact piece) is there something I can add as a backing to preserve it a little bit?

Or... hmmm... I actually do have an easier option... so if it's a bad idea to use really old fabric I can switch. (seriously - we're talking from a quilt made in 1968... and well loved for many years since...)

Kritta...I so made one of the first quilts for my grand niece! It was so beautiful when I got done. I made it lap size.

Do you have a pattern for the second one...I love it!

Love the hearts by the way. Can't wait for you show how you put them together. I just know they are going to be so cute.

I love the hearts but I also love the squares....they are magical! They look like the patchwork that bind everyone in all of their differences together. Maybe throw in a heart on top every now and then.

I love the hearts too. But I agree with April, maybe do hearts thruout and squares as well. Maybe we agree because we are both April's?! Love the patterns! Can't wait, I am trying to come up with my story now.
