These are pictures of my new projects.
I bought these fabrics from Jane! Aren't they just wonderful?! I love all of them. I pulled them out of the package and pet them! :) I'm kidding, ....kinda.
This is the green I'm going to put with it, I like. I have to go buy more but I think I like the green. Thoughts?? This is for the Black and White Challenge.
This is fabric that I bought with my gift certificate to Quilt Tree from Shawn. They guy knows how to make brownie points. Anyway this is going to be a long cabin. I haven't decided if I'm going to give this one away or keep it. Oh the decisions!
Here is my Calendar Quilt Challenge quilt. One of the ladies had a GREAT idea about having putting fabrics together that her son likes. I thought that Bee can pull stripes of fabric out...he might not understand but he might later in the year. So I count about 370 strips and put them in a bucket and have Bee pull one out every day. Sew it on and this is what we have so far!
I bought this fabric on a sale at the Seams like Home Quilt store. It was $5 for a fat quarter. I paid $1. Be jealous, Nanette. (I don't know if the names mean anything to you but there's a picture for ya.) When I use it, I'll let you know!!

coveting your beautiful fabrics...
And your talent to do stuff with them.
....jealous....
I love quilts. I got one for Christmas from my MIL. I made my younger dd a little one for her bed. Nothing fancy, like yours, your very talented. I am still working on my older dd's. I need to add some squares to it and I am finding it hard to find a backing for it. A friend suggested I use a sheet. Any suggestions?
Shucks, I quilted before I started collecting kids. I ache to go back to it someday. In the meantime scrapbooking kind of fits the bill (or I pretend it does). Paper doesn't feel or smell nearly as good as fabric.
i've got to learn to quilt because I LOVE going to the fabric store. Beautiful fabric, i love the black and whites!
Ooh-those are all very pretty! And i get overwhelmed looking at them cuz how you could make a quilt out of a scrap is pretty amazing.
A. The green goes great with the black and did ya buy enugh black I think that I being your new BFF should get a couple.....
B. Connor should do a great job it is an honor to still have babies at home to help...waaaaa but but but i do still have a baby 25 year old but the olny thing he would do is say ok thats cool unless he could eat it....

and i can't believe you got that fabric for $1.
your taste in fabric is fab, love the log cabin stuff and especially your $1 fat quarter!
I'm seriously jealous of your skills. I've always wanted to learn to sew. Can't wait to see what you make!
This makes me want a new sewing machine. And it's okay to pet your fabric, we all do it. I am a fabric junkie. I wish I had a room in my house just for quilting crap. I haven't quilted in five years, that's what three kids does to you.
I love the black and white fabric! It makes me want to learn to sew. I have a sewing machine sitting in storage, maybe I should get it out and dust it off, and actually do something with it!
I would love to take you shopping, but I think Ohio would be a little far to travel :-)
OH MY GOSH girl you have been on a material buying storm...I honestly LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!
Oooh looks so fun. I'm the queen of unfinished projects. I still need to make curtains and duvet covers for my kids. I love the fabrics. I love buying fabric especially fabric on sale. It's so wonderful. Have fun.
I see we are in similar challenges, the Calendar 2009 quilt and the black and white one. I'm using yellow as a third color, but haven't started it yet.
Good luck with all your challenges!
Love the black and white with green for the challenge. Awe the fabric you have is awesome. I love to sew and don't make enough time to do so. But today as I made my to do list. I have on it finish some pj's for my little guy. Seeing all your wonder fabric makes me wish I could do it right now. But gotta wake kiddos for school and get ready for work.
Have a great day.
WOW, you have a lot of beautiful fabrics! I can hardly wait to see what darling things you will make! It is always fun to see what other people do, I love to see how your creative minds think! HOpe all is well for you and your family! Thank your husband for serving our country....they don't get enough thanks..........and thank you for supporting him, I am sure that is not easy! Thank goodness for the Church where ever you go, I know that my daughter in NY has an instant support group and family with their new ward.
Happy Sewing!
