Journal Jar-1

My friend, Taron made me a journal jar. I have a picture on the computer so I'll post that next time. She said that I HAD to post today so here I am.

What is your favorite book? What is the first memorable book you have read? Why was it memorable?

My favorite book so far is The Princess by Lori Wick. I've already done a post on this. I think back in May of last year. I'm not quite sure how to link to my own blog. (Help??)

The first children's book I remember reading is Couduroy. I think it was my favorite because my Grandpa Slattery had buttons on all of his shirts/coats. He is one of my favorite people.

My favorite school book is The True Confession of Charlotte Doyle. I read that in fifth grade and I still think it's great! I highly recommend it!

I remember Mrs. Beason reading "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle" out loud to us and that has been one of the books that has stuck with me as well. So good!

Oh you are so cute and young, if I told you my first books, you would never have heard of them. My girls read your books too!

I don't recall much about reading as a really little kid, but I do remember not liking to read until my 6th grade teacher got me to read Anne of Green Gables. After that I was hooked. I still love that series!
