The beginning of my quilt

I started sewing again after a huge break. I decided that I wanted to start with something for myself.

So after a day or few of finding a simple but fun pattern, I picked this one.

I don't know why that is so big but it won't be small so it's staying.

I used my very favorite line, Blush by basicgrey. It was hard to cut into.

Where the white is, I used ash and put my name and designed a bird that echoes the one in the fabrics.

I'm trying my hardest to get pictures here. I'll share when I do.

Hey, just stopped by from MMB. I love the quilt! I'm terrible at sewing, so I just have to live vicariously through other people's sewing skills. :D

Beautiful design! Hope you have fun making it. How are you feeling these days? Let me know if you want me to watch your kids so you can get a some rest. Who is watching them when the baby is born?
