Quilting

I made a pillowcase for Halloween for Chris....big hit!
I quilted this awesome flower for Melissa, just before she left for Germany. I actually misspelt her daughter's name in the quilting and had to rip it out. Note to self: ask how to spell MaKenzie, or MacKenzie, or kenzie, or MayKensie....

I helped finish a flag quilt for Megen. It had been sitting in her to do pile for a long time so I finished it. The stars are quilted around the actual stars.

Supporting our soldier!

While Chris was gone, I got some yellow ribbon. I sent pictures to Chris and he did not think that decorating his animals was quite as funny as I thought it was. I left them up for him to enjoy when he got home.

(My door actually ended up on pinterest and got quite a few repins! )

Fabric from Ruidoso

This fabric store has hidden treasures!

But it's seriously hidden!!

This is my lot that I brought home! I am totally in love with that tree print! It's by Valori Wells and I may or may not have bought more fabric online last night. Maybe.

The purple dots are going for a polka dot swap and the scissor may have to find a new home but the tree is staying with me!

Fishing at Grindstone lake

We took some time and went fishing....in New Mexico....in the snow...and 50mph winds!! It was a bit cold. (Just a lot!!)

But when you see a happy face like this...

Makes it all worth it!!! Bee did the whole thing BY himself...a proud little boy!

*Note the snow across the lake*

This was the grumpy group. Snacks and sippy cups, good for an hour. And then the meltdown happened. We spent the rest of the time in the warm truck, watching Mr. Incredible.

Kinda windy

It was a bit windy here this winter. In our loop, we have lost 3 big trees. They just recently cut the other two down. It's sad to see these big trees go. But when the housing doesn't take proper care of them, it's the only thing to do so houses and people don't get hurt.
I do miss the trees of Alaska and Washington!

This shows just how dead the tree was!
